During my follow up after our first miscarriage my OB was full of optimistic enthusiasm. Saying that since I got pregnant once I would be highly fertile for the next year. So there I sat each month optimistic and just waiting for the two lines to reappear. Month by month went by and disappointment after disappointment was experienced by both Matt and I when we would test and once again see a false pregnancy test.

It was the longest year I have every experienced. After ten months (December 2013) we booked another appointment to see the OB and establish what our next steps would be. After being pregnant once and remember saying, “at least we know we can get pregnant”, I was eating my own words.

My OB decided to start me on clomid for two months and see if this would aid in our fertility. At this point it was more encouraging to be starting something different then our past 10 months of similar experiences.
